PROFESSIONALLY CURATED LECTURES ON BUSINESS & LEADERSHIP
Creating Positive Change as a Good-Hearted Leader
with Judy Barber

Our Speaker – Judy Barber
Judy’s best clients say she is a slow coach – and not because things can’t change more quickly than you might imagine. For twenty years she’s been coaching leaders through big decisions, the complexities of managing many roles and solving the previously unsolvable. She is the author and curator of ‘Good Question! The Art of Asking Questions to Bring About Positive Change’ and ‘The Slow Coach Approach, How Good-hearted Leaders Can Create Positive Change – Surprisingly Quickly’ and has a chapter in Gerard O’Donovan’s Coaching anthology, ‘A Coach’s Story’. With degree, postgraduate qualifications and professional trainings including Clean Facilitation, Judy is a skilled coach, group facilitator and speaker with much experience of working with people in and from different cultures, and in many walks of life. She is an enthusiastic foodie who would love Slow Coaching to become as widespread and popular as the Slow Food movement.
During this FREE 1-hour Lecture, Judy will be sharing with you about:
Creating Positive Change as a Good-Hearted Leader
Are you a good-hearted leader who wants to create positive change – quite quickly?
You work for the best of reasons and really do care about people. However, it can be very challenging working for positive change in your teams and organization. The point of Judy Barber’s Slow Coach Approach is that although it is a relatively relaxed approach to creating change, overall, it need not use up any more of your time. In times when we all tend to rush around far too quickly, we need the counterbalance of ‘Slow’. Judy will lead you through the essential aspects of leadership that make up this approach, including transforming communication through heart-felt listening and the effective use of questions to shape helpful conversations. You can deal with stress and discord, create harmony, widen perspectives, be more yourself and bring out everyone else’s star qualities.

We’re all looking down the barrel of the most unprecedented business challenge we’ve ever faced.
Simply working hard may help our companies survive but won’t help us thrive. We have to work hard and smart. We need to integrate best practice for today and for tomorrow.

The Alpha Group Foresight Lectures will look at the fundamental factors making your business robust, agile and successful no matter what’s thrown at you.
Now is the time to be brave and embrace this disturbance and create your own business disruption.
If we look at our feet, we shine our shoes. If we look at the sky, we go to the stars.
