<strong>Biography of Makarand Kaprekar</strong>
Makarand is the founder of Equipoise – a boutique Executive Coaching, Life Coaching and Sales Excellence Consulting firm.
A professional with over 21+ years of experience with a well-rounded understanding of business processes and who loves to keep things simple and smart. In his professional roles Mak has always engaged in the process of enterprise creation, be it launching a start-up to key account management. His specialty is observation and finding patterns in behavior both in people and business. This helps him connect the dots and see the big picture. Mak likes to come straight to the point and never hesitates to ask a question with a simple motto of “When in doubt : ASK”.
All his corporates roles have been all at leadership levels and his last assignment as Vice President – Learning Solutions, was with Berkeley HealthEDU, a Healthcare Education Start up that is creating its mark in High Fidelity education in the healthcare fraternity.
Mak has a unique distinction of working with large MNC’s, Small and Medium Enterprises and start-ups, he can easily toggle between the rigid framework and ambiguity. He has worked with Johnson & Johnson as National Key Account manager, a role that was specifically designed for him to set up the entire large account management process for one of its divisions.
Sales and Designing Sales Strategies is an area of expertise for Mak and he loves to help sales teams succeed.
Mak believes we generally look for answers for our problems or issues, what we genuinely need to seek for these answers are the right “questions”. A coach is trained to elicit those questions – tough ones, simple ones, hard ones and sometimes-funny ones. All of them are needed on the journey to arrive at clarity of thought.
According to Mak “Coaching as a verb intrigues me, it is who I am. Coaching to me is a facilitation that guides and brings out, insights and clarity. I love to coach and bring in a sense of objectivity and balance for Businesses and people. Create constructs that can keep things into existence. Language intrigues me and word choice is extremely important for effectiveness and lasting impact. I love to communicate and bring forth that which people have to say in an assertive and objective manner.”
Mak is a Masters in Microbiology, Post Graduation in Marketing Management and an ICF Certified Executive Coach.
