Iliyan Kirkov is a happy father and a professional IT project manager at Lidl Bulgaria, residing in Sofia. In 1999 he gained a diploma in German and English languages from the Foreign Language High School “Ekzarh Josiff I” in Lovech and then in 2006 a bachelor degree in International Economics at The University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Together with his passion for IT this education gave him a solid base for his future career in the field of business process management.
At the end of 1999 he moved to Sofia after his admission to the university. His professional experience started half year later in 2000 in his first computer company. Three years and two IT companies later he switched the working area with international trade and freight forwarding, which was closer to his field of study (studying). The next two and a half years he joined the airfreight business in a multinational company named “Militzer and Münch” and its small but leading branch in Sofia. He managed to be responsible for several key accounts, while consulting and supporting the CEO in all IT operational and strategic topics. One of them was planning the proper IT infrastructure of a new handling terminal at Sofia airport.
Right after his university graduation in 2006 Iliyan started for the first time his employment for the Schwarz Gruppe – the owner of retailers Lidl and Kaufland. He entered the world of real estates, expansion and acquisitions with the early days of Lidl, exploring the Bulgarian market for its future opening. After a two-year inter-company training in IT project management at the European HQ of Lidl in Neckarsulm, Germany, he returned to Bulgaria at the end of 2009 and supported the very successful opening of the big German retailer on the Bulgarian market at the end of 2010. After implementing a company owned complex ERP system and setting the foundations of a stable internal IT structure, he eventually earned his spot as Manager IT Support department in 2012 at the Bulgarian HQ.
When he is not glued to a computer screen, he spends time with his family at home, walks in the city parks, travels around Bulgaria or listens to music. He is also blogging in his smart-tech website The KnowHow Company (http://knowhow.company) where he shares his passion about smart gadgets and how they could make people’s lives easier. Iliyan often attends soft skills courses or any kind of personal development trainings such as Personal Finance and Investments, NLP Practitioner, Parent Effectiveness Training and Start Business BG as well.
In May 2015 Iliyan Kirkov started his practitioner coach diploma training with Noble Manhattan. In October he joins their other business division called “The Alpha Group” as well, being certain of the added value their business approach and concept will give to the Bulgarian small and medium enterprises. A board of peers for business owners will be their “safe harbor”, where they could discuss issues and strategic challenges in confidentiality and trust.

She knows that if leaders can manage in dynamic challenges, foster innovation, and build organizations where people develop their competences – they can use management system through Emotional intelligence. Management through Emotional Intelligence improves leadership effectiveness, retains key employees, motivates personnel, enhances productivity and fosters organizational climate.
